About Us

We connect visitors with volunteers who would love to welcome you to Vancouver!

Hidden Gems

Our volunteer guides are local Vancouverites who are not typically professional tour guides, but know the city well and could show you Vancouver's hidden gems.

The guide services are totally free of charge and no tips are necessary, just pay for the costs incurred during the tour (e.g., admissions, transportation, meals)

Make friends from all over the world! Your trip might be short but friendship last forever.

Whether you are planning to spend a half day or multiple days in Vancouver, we can work with your schedule to show you the best of Vancouver!

Become a Guide

Looking to make friends from all over the world?

Become a guide and share your knowledge with travellers in your city. Show them the history, culture, and all of Vancouver's interesting places! While our guides do not get paid, the experience you share with your new friends is priceless and it's a great way for you to enjoy our beautiful city too!

Fill out our Registration Form and let us know about your trip.

We will match you up with a volunteer guide, typically within 2 weeks. Your contact information will be shared with the volunteer.

The volunteer guide will connect you and help you plan a customized itinerary.

The volunteer guide will meet you in a public place, and take you around town via public transit. You are responsible for all cost incurred during this trip, including:

  • TRAVEL EXPENSES INCURRED BY THE GUIDE while conducting a tour for the guests. These include any and all public transportation fees incurred after meeting the guest at the appointed meeting place. Guests are not responsible for costs incurred by the guide while traveling to or from the meeting place both before and after the tour period.
  • ADMISSION FEES to museums, temples, events etc. incurred by the guide while providing guide services.
  • MEALS eaten by the guide while providing his or her services to the guest(s).

We will send you a survey after your trip. Please let us know how your adventure went to help us improve.
